The Noonchi brand was created by an ordinary mom of a toddler, who licked play dough from the supermarket. A mother who was tired of discarding play dough which dried out in just one day. Through experiments in her home kitchen, she unravelled the secret of the original, world-famous soft play dough and replaced all the dubious ingredients with safe plant-based components. She also devised a method to make the play dough long-lasting.,

Noonchi dough is handcrafted in small batches without automation.
We respect the natural properties of our ingredients and avoid unnecessary chemicals. Every ingredient is carefully selected, checked, and inspected.

The composition includes:
- Wheat flour
- Sea salt
- Organic cream of tartar
- Corn starch
- Bio baking powder
- Vanillin
- Food-grade glycerin
- Vegetable oil
- Bentonite clay
- Coconut oil triglycerides
Some brands of play dough contain borax. Noonchi dough is completely free from borax, sulfates, polyethylene glycols (PEGs), mineral oils, palm oils, and fillers, including glass, plastic, ceramic microspheres, and synthetic polymers.
Allergens: gluten, vanillin.
Shelf Life
How long does a cup of Noonchi dough last?
We like to say that Noonchi dough is almost everlasting—but what does “forever” really mean? :)
We completed the development of our current recipe in March 2023. Samples produced at that time still look and smell good and remain soft to the touch.
The recommended shelf life after opening is 6 months, provided that the dough is stored according to our storage recommendations.
We do not recommend refrigerating the dough to extend its shelf life. Low temperatures can change its properties, making it hard and crumbly.
Because we avoid sulfates, polyethylene glycols, mineral oils, palm oils, and other stabilising ingredients, two cups of the same product may differ slightly in colour, texture, aroma, or drying speed. These natural variations are a result of the properties of our ingredients.
Storage Conditions
We recommend washing your hands before and after playing.
Store the dough in its cup with the lid tightly closed. This helps keep the modelling dough fresh and clean for longer.
The convenient screw-top lid is easy for children to open and close and provides a secure seal after each use.
Can I make figures and bake them in the oven?
No. Noonchi dough is not intended for making permanent figures, crafts, or toys for drying.
If left exposed to air, the dough will eventually dry and develop salt crystals. This is natural, given its 11–13% salt content. Complete and irreversible drying takes a long time.
If you accidentally leave the cup open overnight, don't worry. The dough can usually be refreshed.
How to Refresh Dried Dough
If the dough has dried out:
- Place a 100 g ball of dough over a sink.
- Slowly pour 200 g (approximately one glass) of water over it.
- Knead the dough thoroughly. It may feel slightly sticky at first.
- Place it back into the cup and close the lid tightly.
- Leave it for 5–6 hours.
- Knead it again before use.
The dough should become soft and fresh again, ready for play.
Packaging
Creating a clean ingredient composition and minimising the use of plastic were important considerations in developing Noonchi.
Our packaging is designed to be reusable, recyclable, or both wherever possible.
Our shipping materials reflect the same approach. We use recycled cardboard boxes and avoid bubble wrap when packaging and shipping our products.
Children's Safety & Health

Noonchi Play Dough is made for safe handling and use on the skin and is formulated without borax.
It is a modelling material, not food, and should never be intentionally consumed.
🧂 Contains approximately 11–13% sea salt and 4% cream of tartar (potassium bitartrate).
⚠️ Swallowed a small piece? There is generally no need to panic. Give the child some water and monitor them. If a large amount is swallowed or symptoms develop, contact a healthcare professional or poison-control service.
🚫 Do not use on cuts, broken, irritated, or sensitive skin, as the salt and acids may cause irritation.
🐾 Keep out of reach of children and animals when not in use.
